The Washington Post (1/13, A1, Barnes) reported last Thursday that “the Supreme Court on Thursday stopped the Biden administration’s vaccination-or-testing requirement for the nation’s largest employers.” The Post says, “The court has been supportive of state requirements targeting the pandemic, but skeptical of broad federal responses. All six of the court’s conservatives said Congress had not given the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) power to impose such a sweeping requirement in workplaces across the nation.”

CNBC (1/13, Breuninger, Kimball) reported, “The vaccine-or-test rules faced a raft of lawsuits from 27 states with Republican attorneys general or governors, private businesses, religious groups and national industry associations such as” NFIB.

Bloomberg Law (1/10, Subscription Publication) reported, “Employers believe if they start following the standard’s mandate to ask workers about their vaccination status, employees will see that as a step toward requiring vaccinations or weekly testing and will look for jobs elsewhere, Harned said.”
