As the business community
processes the six-part COVID-19 Action Plan put forward by the Biden
Administration to combat the Delta variant, including the vaccine
requirement covering private businesses with more than 100 employees, the
Fairfax County Health Department stands ready to assist in supporting you and
your employees in getting vaccinated.
COVID-19 vaccines are widely
available in locations across the Fairfax County health district — and now the
Health Department or a partner vaccinator may even come to you!
Businesses and community event
organizers can request a vaccination team to provide COVID-19 vaccines or
education/outreach services so that people can learn more about the vaccines.
Requests will be reviewed and
matched with an outreach or nursing team from the Fairfax County Health
Department. Every attempt will be made to support your event with the best
resources for your audience on the date and time of your submitted request.
However, because many events take place around the health district every day,
submitting a form is not a guarantee that a team is available for your event.
The Health Department will fulfill as many requests as possible and will
prioritize events with an equity lens. We request 14 days prior notice
to help our teams plan for a successful event.
If you are a business owner or
event organizer and are interested in increasing vaccination rates in our
community, submit
a request to the Health Department here.
Cases in the Fairfax Health
District are continuing to increase because of the Delta variant. Most
transmission is happening among the unvaccinated and in areas with low
vaccination rates, making it more urgent than ever to get employees
vaccinated. You know your communities and your employees — if you
believe the Health Department can help them understand the benefits of
vaccination and provide easier access to COVID vaccines, please let us know
about your group or event.
COVID-19
vaccines are safe and effective at preventing severe
illness, hospitalization, and death. They also help reduce the spread of
COVID-19 in our community. Visit the Health
Department’s vaccine website for more information
