Event Calendar

The Fairfax County Health Department just completed our third 5-year Community Health Assessment (CHA).  A CHA is a point-in-time measure of the health of our community. The CHA identifies key health needs and issues through comprehensive data collection and analysis.  The new CHA will be released by the end of February 2024.

Once a CHA is completed, we look to develop the next step to use the data and community input to develop a 2025-2029 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

As we develop the CHIP, we are inviting our community to help set priorities.  We are offering a series of Data Walks throughout the community in February - April 2024.  A Data Walk is an interactive way for community stakeholders, including residents, business leaders, researchers and other service providers, to engage in dialogue around key health data about the health of the community.
