Tom Pfeifer, founder and president/CEO of Consistent Voice Communications, has added speaking coach to his already growing entrepreneur-based writing coach enterprise.
Pfeifer was recently awarded the prestigious Certified World Class Speaking Coach designation by Mitch Meyerson, founder of Guerrilla Marketing Coaching, and Craig Valentine, the 1999 World Champion of Public Speaking.
Adding keynote speaking coach to his book-writing coach business makes sense, Pfeifer said.
“I have been coaching entrepreneurs in how to write a book that enhances their credibility and cements them as an authority in their field. Now, I can also coach them on how to speak about it.” Or, he could coach them in developing a keynote speech using the Craig Valentine method, then help them to develop a book on the same topic.
“I have been a professional writer and editor for more than 35 years, so I have the credentials to teach and coach writing,” Pfeifer said. “In fact, I have known since I was 7 years old that I wanted to be a professional writer.
“But I had no such dream to be a professional speaker,” said Pfeifer, who began speaking professionally only when he founded Consistent Voice Communications. “I had to speak if I was to make any money.”
He therefore understands the symmetry between writing and speaking and decided to enroll in The World Class Speaking Coach Certification Program™ to learn how to coach speakers. The 12-week program was grueling, but inspiring, Pfeifer said.
“I found a lot of symmetry between coaching someone to write a nonfiction book and a keynote speech,” Pfeifer said. “The structure is very similar as are the processes.”
