THURSDAY @ NOON REDISTRICTING CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

THURSDAY @ NOON REDISTRICTING CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

Every ten years, all 50 states redraw their electoral district lines. In Virginia, this important responsibility is entrusted to members of the General Assembly.

In an historic move, the Virginia General Assembly has approved a constitutional amendment that will be on the ballot this November to create a commission to make legislative districts within the Commonwealth.

Brian Cannon, FairMapsVA, will discuss the amendment with the Chamber and what it would mean if approved. If passed by the voters, this would be a significant change in the way legislative districts have been drawn in Virginia. For more information on this issue please visit the website.

Delegate Paul Krizek will discuss concerns on this proposed Amendment.

Brian Cannon is now the executive director of FairMapsVA, the
