SENIOR RESOURCES COUNCIL

SENIOR RESOURCES COUNCIL

Policy and Legislative Updates on the Senior Care Industry

The Senior Resources Council is back with our September program which will feature a legislative and regulatory round-up of policies, bills and more affecting the senior industry.  Jim Lindsay, founder and owner of ACCfamily Home Care, and adjunct professor at Georgetown University will provide an overview of what is in the works and the impacts on all of us in the diverse areas of minimum wage, new Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations and more. What’s on the horizon in Virginia? And in Congress?

While this month’s meeting will again be on Zoom, we hope that by October we will be able to enjoy gathering in person. Stay tuned!

Jim Lindsay is a Colorado native who landed in Alexandria, VA early on to begin a career in ministry. While in graduate school for a MDiv degree, Jim worked in the United States Senate in various positions. In 1992-1993, a family member needed a caregiver and this time of family need led to the establishment of a business serving the needs of the elderly in 1994 called ACCfamily. After over 27 years caring for those in need, ACCfamily continues to flourish.  Jim received his MBA from Oxford University, and holds a BB certificate in Lean Six Sigma (a leadership certification) and a Certificate in Transformative Leadership from George Washington University.  Jim is on the advisory board of George Washington University’s Diversity in Leadership program, is listed in the Who’s Who of Global Leadership and is on the National Small Business Council.  Jim leads three companies with four regional offices and seven branch offices in three states.
